Dedicated account manager

From the moment you contact Portlantis you will have a designated point of contact who will help you choose your garments, will advise you regarding decoration, and will make sure you get the best possible value for money from your budget.

Embroidery

Logos are embroidered to a very high standard on our in-house Tajima machines. We take your design and turn it into an embroidery file via a skilled process known as Digitising. Our digitisers use industry standard software and apply their knowledge to ensure perfect representation of the logo on the surface of the fabric. Up to 15 different coloured threads can be used in any one design, and each logo is stitched out for your approval prior to application on the garments.

We use Madeira threads, and these can be matched via pantone references to your design – so exact reproduction of your colours is guaranteed.

Heat Sealing

For small to medium sized runs, it is usually more cost-effective for our customers to heatseal their logo to their garment of choice. Single or dual colour designs are vectorised and sized appropriately before being sent from the specialist software on the PC to the Cutters, where highly accurate blades reproduce your branding from rolled vinyls. A process called Weeding removes superfluous vinyl and our heatpresses are then used to apply your logo to the garment at the correct temperature.

Multi-coloured and more complex designs can be digitally printed onto a range of special transfer papers which are pressed onto the garments in exactly the same way as cut vinyl designs.

Samples, Logo Design & Proofing

If you need help designing your logo we have a qualified designer who can help you. We can also send you electronic and actual proofs for your approval, along with product samples.

Personalising an item with your organisation’s logo or name is a very positive way of promoting your corporate identity and brand image – provided it is done to a high standard. There are a number of methods for personalising garments, and Portlantis will use its experience to advise you on the most appropriate way to apply your particular design.

Screen Printing

Generally used for larger volume orders and ideal for bigger logos, screen printing is the method of choice for promotional clothing, especially T Shirts.

A maximum of 12 colours is crisply replicated via photographic reproduction on semi-automatic presses, and a number of specialist techniques such as foil and phosphorescent prints are available.

Direct to Garment Printing

Direct to Garment (DTG) printing is a method of digital printing, using child-safe inks to print full colour images directly onto garments. Photographic quality designs are printed in high resolution up to 1200 dpi.

Fast Delivery

Portlantis aims to turn your order around as fast as possible. We usually deliver anywhere in the UK within 5 to 7 working days from receiving your order, but we can turn garments around within 48 hours so please do ask us if you have a deadline as we can probably meet it.

Alterations

A full Alteration service is available to all Portlantis customers.
