Q: How long will my order take to be delivered?
A: On average, Portlantis delivers anywhere in the UK within 4 working days from receipt of order.
Items which we carry in stock are despatched within 48 hours.
Non-standard items or items which require personalisation may take longer.
If you have a deadline, please ask.
Shipments are made by direct delivery from our own vehicles and by courier.
Orders over £250 are delivered free of charge. Orders below this value, or orders with multiple location delivery points may incur an extra charge.
Q: I can’t find exactly what I need in the catalogue. Can you help me to find it?
A: The catalogue is very extensive, which can be a bit confusing, so it’s a good idea to contact us (link?) then we can do the hard work for you. In addition, we can source garments from outside the catalogue so please do tell us your exact requirements.
Q: I’ve only got a paper copy of my logo – is that OK?
A: Yes, that’s no problem. We accept logos in all formats. Just give us a call so we can discuss how best to help you.
Q: How will I pay?
A: If you are a first time customer then, because your garments are being personalised, we will probably ask you for payment when you place your order. This can be either be made by cheque or by credit card. We may waive this requirement for established customers, in which case payment is due upon receipt of goods.
Q: Can I get a discount?
A: We pride ourselves on our competitive pricing and we do offer discounts for quantity orders. Please contact us for an exact quotation.
Q: Can I see a sample before I place my order?
A: Of course! We are happy to supply a sample, but we must ask for it to be returned to us when you have made your decision.
Q: Will there be a set-up charge for embroidery or screen-printing of my logo?
A: If you are ordering a small quantity of garments then there may be a set-up charge, especially if you have a complex logo. However, once you have paid the set-up charge then you will never have to pay it again so you can draw off single items later on for no extra charge. For most orders over ten garments with a straight-forward logo there is no set-up charge. Please call us to discuss your exact requirements.
Q: Is there a minimum order?
A: No – you can have a single garment personalised if you want to, although there may be a set-up charge if it’s the first time you have ordered from us.
